All righty! I'll be posting a couple today--I've got lots of downtime and did a good bit of painting this past weekend.
But first, I'll be posting the Ravagore. He's the third option in the Heavy Warbeast box, of which the other two options are the Scythean and Carnivean. The other two are mostly melee, and while this guy is good at melee as well, he also has a really powerful ranged attack. He has a Blight Blast, which is a Power 15 attack with a range of 14 inches and does an AOE, or area of effect, of 3 inches. It does both fire damage and corrosion damage and the AOE stays in play for one round. His animus can also cause the Continuous Effect: Fire so things will actually stay on fire. Woot!
Doesn't he look cuddly?
Obviously, I did a different paint job on him. I was trying to switch things up a bit and still keep my theme color. His skins is purple with a purple wash, and the bone bits are my usual white base coat with a sepia wash. I had an interesting time painting his fire--I started with a really light blue for a base coat, then used two or three dark colors, building up on it. The glow on his face came out a little better than I thought it would. Over all, I'm happy with him. I haven't had much chance to use him in combat, but I'm certainly planning on doing so in the future.
