All righty, so I've posted a lot of my Hordes figurines. I've mentioned before, I have other ones, too, and I finally got around to painting one of mine from the game Malifaux. Unfortunately, I never got to play the game except for once, because it kind of died out at our store. But, things come in waves--it'll eventually come back.
And so, I have my model for Lady Justice painted.
And here she is. I love the model--also because it didn't require assembly--and I think this is the older version. There's a new one of her out as well. On the box, Miss Justice is clothed in black with red hair--well, I like to switch things.
Her clothes are kind of a dark teal color, the pants just being a little darker than the top, and I washed over them with a black wash to give them a bit of a worn look. I used gold as an accent color on her top and on her belts, both because I love the blue and gold color combination, and it's an awesome paint color I haven't gotten to use much. Her boots were just black with the silver front, trimmed with the same gold. Her sheath for her sword is actually two different shades of red.
She was painted after Barbie Lylyth, so I was wanting to do another blond hair color. I mixed the yellow and the white the same as I did for Lylyth, but with each layer, I added a little more red to get this strawberry blond color. I quite like it in combination with her blue outfit. And for the blindfold, I thought red would be a nice contrasting color.
Over all, I am very pleased with how she turned out. I can wait to paint the rest of my Malifaux models, as they are all beautiful, so I will hopefully be doing that very soon.
