Absylonia, the Daughter of Everblight

Okay, okay, it's been a while. But! I've been super busy with school and life, so don't hate me.

But! I've finally finished a model, and I am absolutely thrilled with how she turned out. Epic Absylonia, the Daughter of Everblight, is one of the newest models from Privateer Press's new Hordes: Exigence book. I love the model, both aesthetically and in game.

And here she is.

Look at that! Isn't that so awesome! Like, seriously, I love it! I wanted to keep her paler than all my other models in the army so she would be a nice contrast. Also, I really wanted to do something fun with her wings--so how do you think it turned out?

I base-coated her skin a pale pink, then actually went over it again with a white wash. Her wings I had originally painted a purple color, but when I decided to do the black, I white washed them with several layers to what you see there. The black was just a straight black--and a lot of stippling. But I love how it turned.

As for in game.....oh, she's pretty mean. I've played with her several times now and I can now say I have found a caster that definitely fits me. If you get her feat turn right, the battlefield is just filled with carnage. She herself is mean in melee, so you don't want to mess with her. Then she just boosts and beefs up all her beasts--and she works really well with them, which I'm glad, as I love to play them--and they become absolutely monstrous.

Anyway, let me know what you think! I love feedback. :)

Peace!
